"Love is the one treasure that multiplies by division. It is the one gift that grows bigger the more you take from it. It is the one business in which it pays to be an absolute spendthrift. You can give it away, throw it away, empty your pockets, shake the basket, turn the glass upside down, and tomorrow you will have more than ever.

WHO IS MORE POWERFUL ANYWAY?

Some people are so weak and insecure that they have to hurt someone else just to feel better about themselves. The only way they feel powerful is to make someone else feel small. And they make it seem as if its your fault that you got hurt by their cruelty. Use your unlimited power to avoid giving them what they want. You might have to walk away and say, I feel sorry for you.

"Since changes are going on anyway, the great thing is to learn enough about them so that we will be able to lay hold of them and turn them in the direction of our desires. Conditions and events are neither to be fled from nor passively acquiesced in; they are to be utilized and directed. John Dewey"

THE TIME IS NOW
By Dr. John H. Sklare

Is it just me or does time seem to pass more quickly as you get older? One thing I know for sure is that time is a very precious commodity. If only we could be more mindful of that fact and use it more wisely. If we were more mindful, Im sure we would most likely spend much more time living in the moment and much less time worrying about the future and agonizing about the past. After all, the only time that we truly have is the time we find in the present moment. The NOW is the only place that life really takes place!

Risks Must Be Taken

To laugh is to risk appearing a fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out for another is to risk involvement.
To expose feelings is to risk rejection.
To place your dreams before the crowd is to risk ridicule.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To go forward in the face of overwhelming odds is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken...
because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, is nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow,
but he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or love.
Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave.
He has forfeited his freedom.
Only a person who takes risks is free.
