My greatest condolence to the family of Miss Violet Blake of Little Park. She was one hundred years old. She was my Sunday School Teacher at St. Peters Anglican Church. God bless you you. May your soul rest in peace.

Miss Violet was not only our Sunday School Teacher, she was the church organist as well. I remember her as one who gave of herself to her church and her community. I recall so well the fact that Miss Violet also hosted Sunday school at her home on Sunday afternoons where we would all attend and sing with the kind of lustre that you find only in children at that age. "Something in my heart like a stream running down" readily comes to mind. I have never been able to sing that song without thinking of the blessed soul, who was Miss Violet, who taught me that song.

God calls us to service and that is the way she lived her life, in service to Him and her fellowman. Sleep on Miss Vie, our hearts and lives have been enriched because of your service.

May your soul rest in peace...We will meet again when Jesus comes.

Native if you watch CNN sometimes you will see her grandson reporting. His name is Dan Lothian. She is related to the Blakes from Little Park, like Bev, Joyce to name a few. Her only daughter is married to Reneto Adams uncle Fabian Lothian. She was the oldest person in the surrounding area. Such a pleasant and nice lady. She is with the Lord now.
