I was informed that Socket, born Theodore Simpson, from up by Postdam/Munro area passed away last week. Socket delivered vegetables from his van back to the greater Pedro Plains area, including Treasure Beach. When I asked about his nickname, I was told he got his name as he was so tall that he kept bumping into the light sockets hanging from the ceiling. HIs son continues to supply vegetables. RIP Socket.

I am so sorry to hear of Socket's passing. I bought vegetables from his van back for many, many years. He would always get the best lettuce for me back in a time where that was a rare commodity.

My deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends especially as they are still grieving from the loss of Socket's son a few months ago.
