Maybe because I am from Massachusetts or maybe because both in America and Jamaica I have volunteered at various Special Olympic games and saw first hand the impact they have on all who participated or maybe it is just simply as Ms. Kennedy-Shriver was a great humanitarian, I would like to share the two following articles with you.

If you are ever at Crossroads and meet up with a gentleman named Murray ask him about the gold and silver medals he has won over the years in track meets at the Special Olympics. He will be very happy to tell you of some of the proudest moments of his life.

Also, if you see Andy who frequents Black River and is in a wheelchair you can ask him about his medals won as well.

Ms. Kennedy-Shriver has left a wonderful legacy. The world is a better place for her having been here and she will be missed.

A woman of my own heart.I truly believe that everyone has his or her place in this world and Ms Kennedy-Shriver has truly done her part to make sure that everyone is aware of this. Regardless of their handicap, people are reminded that they were placed on this earth for a purpose and that with strength and determination it can be done.

May her soul rest in peace and light perpetually shine on her.

Better Late than never.

R.I.P Ms Kennedy-Shriver. A true Legend who has made her mark a lasting one.

Her Son Anthony Shriver who started the best buddies program - which is mentoring and support program for kids and adults with Developmental Disabilities is one of the best and most successful support models of its kind anywhere and I'm sure this all came from his mother who set great examples .

The Kennedys are truly a great family and we in Mass are truly proud.
