It was midnight in the month of November 1974 a young lady by the name miss Julie senior created a little bit of history by being the first woman to go to the pedro bank on a days work with three other fisherman uncle clinton as the captain, buttop, and erkal ebanks. some of the fishermen did not believe her, and rupert from billys bay promised her to buy her grub, he had to fulfill his promise. with her grub and a little ebson salt loaded with a forty horse power engine and a brand new fifty as the spare aunt julie was on her way to the pedro banks.It took them about five hours to reach. she spoke about that five hour journey how frighting it was where she saw some waves coming at her where she thought she was gone, and she didnt realize the water was full of pot holes in it lol. well as frighting as the journey getting there her most frighting experience was when they got to their pot set the forty horse power engine wouldnt throttle, so they can haul the pots so they change it but the fifty wouldnt start so they had to take out the spark plugs from the fifty to put them in the forty but before they put them in they had to set the plugs on fire in the boat with all the gasoline on board, i hope a fisherman can explain what thats about. due to the fact you went in mommy boat i was actually on the beach when you arrived and i remember that proud look and smile you had you were holding a rope standing at the bow of the boat. aunt julie i just want to honor you for your bravery you have done something that a lot of people wouldnt even try and i am one of them. later on my aunt Lita clarke bless her sole and Shirley from around lewistown also made this trip.
