Any one know where to find round rock,?
What did young Boys use to do at round rock? lets see if any one remember that. Good Luck,
Is round rock at Calabash Bay? I believe young boys used to jump off and dive of course.
I believe so I remember that area very well close to that bar at the end of calabashbay. Correct me if i am wrong.
Yes you are right all the young boys learn to swim there
Round Rock was my first achievement to go beyond
where I could stand.
Right in Calabash Bay close to the reef. Straightout between the group house and the shop.
"Point" is to the west of "Round Rock". The boats have to actually go around "Point" to get into the bay.
Good descrcription of where round rock is.
swim there as a kid.
There is a little Bay near to Calabash Bay, what is the name of it,?
Dickin Bay
Good guess Homester,
There was a big grape three right in front Dickin Bay it had a name away from grape three what was the name was it call?
When I wasa little boy Round Rock was on dry land on the beac, and we could walk around it. A hurricane blew it into the water severl meters from its original location.
Just about where it is located now, there was an old steam boat beached there. It belonged to Mr David Parchment who was the son of Mr Charles Parchment who lived where the school now stands. Hewas the father of Stanley Parchment. They all moved to Caymaan Island and died there.
Raymond, you are a great source of history of the Treasure Beach area, please keep it going. As a boy in the 40s and 50s I remember picking cashew from a tree in front of where uncle Charles'(he was not my uncle but we all called him that)house was.
