Rest in peace, Malo. You were so quiet and handsome and you loved music like I did. I was a young child but I remember you.

My older brother was my best friend in the world
Sadly he died when i was just a girl
He was one of many lost at sea
I remember the last time he saw me
It was the day he was going away
Oh how i wanted him to stay
He kissed us and waved goodbye
Now he's watching us up in the sky
Off to sea he went
Where his last moments were spent
A week turned into months and months into years
I still remeber nights of sheding tears
Oh where, where, where, brother dear are you.

To the memory of my cousin Manola: His name"Malo" became a household name, as he would always be remembered by his kindness and love. I was only 3 years old then of this sad happening, but because of the legacy he left behind I was able to really get to know him. To his two beautiful daughters, Rema and Annie May your Dad's memories continue to stay alive in you.

To Uncle Manola

When time, who steals our years away
Shall steal our pleasures too
The memory of the past will stay
And half our joys renew

By: Thomas Moore

Because of the memories of others, you live on in our hearts. Although we never knew you Uncle Manola, we love you, I, and now my children.
I wish we could have known you.

I have heard so many wonderful things about Manola from family members. He must have been an outstanding young man but sadly he left us too early. However the Lord's way is always the best way and He knows why Manola was called away from us.I was only 3 years old at the time of his passing but I can vividly recall one evening in 1963 at the funeral service of Aubrey Forest's son Bruce that my mother took me up and introduced me to Manola. He held me in his arms for a brief moment and kissed me on my cheeks. Please keep the memories of him alive.

I had quite forgotten what my sweet cousin "Malo" looked like. I am grateful to Vawhn
for posting such a wonderful photo of him. Now my memory has been jolted and I recall how very loving and caring he was. Back then, I regarded him as my favourite cousin and I do not think that this feeling has changed.

It is wonderful to re-connect in this way.

Best wishes to all my cousins and their family..
