Treasure Beach Forum: ID-It?: October 2001
Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this messageBy on Saturday, November 22, 2003 - 08:58 pm:

The idea is simple. If you think you know who or where location is in one of the pictures, fill in the form below and send your guess. We're hoping a lot of people will include interesting stories and anecdotes about the places and people shown.

In three days we'll reveal the winners and everyone's replies. For our Two Year Anniversary celebration this month we're providing prizes of local crafts and artwork and a dinner for two at The Wild Onion (Chef's). Future winners will have to make do with the knowledge that they are better than everyone else.

So without further ado...

TOURIST:

Who is this?
(Bonus points if you give the name of his transportation)

YARDIE:

Where is this located?

RULES:

If you don't supply a valid email address so we can contact you, we'll have to invalidate your entry. (We're not selling data. See our privacy policy.)

We put up a picture that we think tourists can ID and one that 'yardies' can ID. To keep it fair you'll have to pick which one to guess at. If you include a guess for each picture or more than one guess per month, you're entry(s) will be canceled.

The first entries received with the correct answers will be the winners. The time stamp on the reply will be the final authority.

Prizes will be mailed or presented in person in Treasure Beach, which ever is appropriate.

If you win, we'll use your name (not email address) and perhaps a picture if you so desire to announce our winner.

A trip up the Black River with Ted or Zambia or Joseph Brown should be on any visitors must do list; maybe joining dolphins on the way, maybe boating within a couple feet of a crocodile, maybe encountering a fisherman in a dugout log canoe. Maybe fresh fish lunch cooked on an open fire with Red Stripe. Time stops while drifting through the mangroves ... just what the North American/European harried & spastic visitor needs to regain a little balance and perspective in life.
