profile

Mr. Dennis Abrahams is a tour operator and fisherman who lives in the community of Treasure Beach.

Mr. Abrahams has been doing boat tours for 9 years and has been doing fishing for 14 years. Although Mr. Abrahams holds two different professions both work fine for him. Being born in Treasure Beach, Mr. Abrahams finds no problems doing boat tours and for him, doing boat tours in Treasure Beach has been enjoyable. "There are many fine resorts in Jamaica," he says, "but when you want to find someplace calm and quiet it's definetly Treasure Beach."

Apart from giving tours along the clear waters, Mr. Abrahams finds another important part added to his job: meeting people, telling them about his country and making them smile makes this a big part in which he enjoys doing the most.

The most pleasing sight for Mr. Abrahams when doing his job is the smiling and happy faces of his guests, in which he would go to any extent to see. Another important part of Mr. Abrahams job is the safety and protection of his guests. Mr. Abrahams is strongly againgst tourist harrasment.

Mr. Abrahams is married and has a beautiful daughter who he loves and wants the very best for her.

Hi.....I just want to make my contributions to all the congrats and well-wishing, that has been sent out to Dennis. I grew up with Dennis, and I have seen the good he has done all his life. He is a very quite and all around person. Keep up the good work Dennis, but where is the photo that always accompany the profiles, and who is the little girl that wrote this profile, good job to you also, and all the best for your future...

Thanks--Yardie girl

Hi Folks,

I was so pleased to see my friend Dennis being acknowledged by his community with a "Profile of the Month". For those of you that know Dennis you'll agree he is an honest, kind, hard working man. I count on Dennis as a true brother,(even though I haven't seen him for 2 years).
Dennis is abroad now but will be home in the fall. If you get a chance to go fishing, touring, shooting pool at South Jammin' or just hanging out in TB he is great to have in your corner!
Cheers Dennis.....say how about those missing pictures.

I would like to ask herself, but the connection to her mobil failed -new number?-.
Greetings to all Abraham(s)in TB!

Hi folks,

I think that the picture of my dad makes him look like a very serious guy. But he's also a very fun guy, even though he works two jobs. It was fun to see my dad's picture on the computer and I love him very much - Whitney Abrahams

Hi Rema, You are very welcome my dear and I was glad that I was able to help. I know how what it is like to be living abroad and wanting to know what is happening at home. Phone calls are very expensive and the mail is slow so an inexpensive way is the internet.
Peace

Hello Rebecca,

Could you find out for me if the last piece of property on the left facing the ocean after passing your house is for sale.I think there is an unfinished house on the right and a guest house on the left also.

thank you.

No, it is not for sale as this is the new location for Mar Blue Verandah. A great new addition to Treasure Beach.

My wife Kate and I got married in Treasure Beach on March 19th, 2005. Besides the pleasure of her accepting me as her husband, another priviledge was meeting Dennis Abrahams. My first meeting with Dennis was as our boat captain on a trip up Black River. We were told by another couple how well he could handle a boat and how great a gentleman he was. My next meeting with Dennis I hope is one that will start a friendship. Kate and I had dinner with he and his family. It was wonderful to hear about all the good things this man does not only for his family, but for the community as well. It was an honor to meet him and I can't wait until we see each other again.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dennis on a recent trip to Treasure Beach. I sat at a seaside bar and had one of the best conversations I've ever had. He was a very interesting guy and we talked about travelling and islands on our lists of places to visit. He is a businessman. When he told me about his work, I pulled out my Lonely Planet Guide to Jamaica and there was his name and contact info. It was nice meeting the man in person instead of just seeing his name in my book. I absolutely LOVED Treasure Beach and can't wait to get back one day.
