I read the prior post about fishermen taking so many young lobsters from the water and find it somewhat ironic. Is it not interesting that fishermen are selling their fishing boats? Those of us who have visited for many years know the fishermen are coming in with less and less each year. Fishing is difficult and dangerous, and if one cannot even make a decent living, what is the reason to take the risk of going out overnight or owning a fishing boat?

Some of the reasons there are less and less fish are not in control of the fishermen. Some such as not throwing the young lobsters back ARE in their control. They are fishing for today but will suffer even more tomorrow.

This is a sad situation.
