The 3rd Annual Memorial to those who lost their lives at sea was held on Friday evening at Sunset Resort. I believe the turnout was the best yet. It is always a very solemn occasion, however, we could rejoice this year as no new names were added to the list.

I too, would like to say thanks to all the sponsors this year and a very special thanks to TreasureBeach.net and Patsy Moxam, their contributions were really exceptional,and the turn out was great. Our next step from here, will be to get some pictures of some similar monuments elsewhere in the world , and get the people in Kingston working on the actual monument , I beleive if we get it built now and have it brought down to Treasure Beach that this will speed up the process of us all deciding the best spot to place it. It is such an important part of our history for the area and I want to see it complete, for sure by Hero's weekend this year, thats October,2008...Mark my words.
