Well, Well - Jamaica should go down in History for the 'best maintenance programs of their main
roads'. Imagine - we have a main road in Treasure Beach and it has been in a more than deplorable condition for over 2 years now. Villa owners boast about full bookings without even commenting on our roads to the media. The Government boast about South Coast Tourism with these roads!!!!!!
They did a quick dumping near to the plaza (King
Fisher) where there was a pond in the road. This was after some men decided that enough was enough by blocking the roads last week, however, the problem is still there, only that they have
pushed it a little further down the road, by creating another pond inches away.
Now tell me, what must the citizens do?? It is
obvious that we are not regarded as important in
this country - out there is now like a hog pen
each time it rains.
With a new year on the Horizon I am praying that
someone will see the light. We cannot continue like this going backwards instead of forward.
