Heard via the media, that the work would have resumed this week. To date we have not seen any
equipment or workmen. Can someone shed some light on this project?

They seem to be predicting 4 to 8 inches of rain over Jamaica from Ernesto. How will you handle it without the canal? Is there a chance what's already been dug for the canal could cave in from heavy rain?

I, too, have been wondering what will happen to the not-nearly-completed trench now that a storm is coming. Aren't we going to see all the soil that's been dug up washed away and all the 'soft' walls of the trench cave in if the water is truly as heavy as the storm warnings say it will be? How could the project have been left so long that we're now high in hurricane season and still no trench? (Yes, I know that's foolishly naive of me, but I have to ask.)
