Is the bus to Treasure Beach from Kingston any worse than the bus from Montego Bay? I just booked a flight into Kingston and now I'm wondering if I made a mistake...

It has been a couple of years but you catch a bus downtown and travel to Santa Cruz and then a get a taxi from there. If you have a lot of luggage you may have to get a charter instead of a route taxi. If you are lucky on the bus you will get a seat all to yourself but it can be very tight.

I have never taken the bus from Montego Bay. The new highway from Kingston makes things a lot faster than it used to be.

1.make sure you are on a morning flight you do not want to be downtown Kingston after dark.

if you are going to take the bus from the airport to downtown try to get an idea of where the buses
to Mandiville or Santa Cruz are, THE BUS PARKS ARE NOT THE SAME FOR LOCAL AND OUT OF TOWN.
you can take a bus to Mandiville(this might be easier because there are more busses going there)then take route taxi's from there to junction or
southfield and then another to tb.
or if you can find a bus going to santa cruz try that route.

I would not recommend taking Tina's route. Take a bus from Kingston to Mandeville. From Mandeville, take a taxi to Junction, and from Junction, a taxi to Treasure Beach. Small luggage would be helpful, if not essential. The bus from Mo Bay would be Mo Bay to Sav-La-Mar, Sav to Black River, Black River to TB. Equally draining a ride as the one from Kingston.

FYI: When you get in the taxis from Mandeville to Junction to Cross Roads and down to Treasure Beach, make sure you get in a route taxi which is a shared ride. You could hire a taxi to take you alone, but it would be much more expensive.

And don't go via Santa Cruz. It would take longer.

Taking a bus from downtown kingston to Santa Cruz and then a taxi to treasure beach would be much easier and cheaper. It may take longer going this route but it would be cheaper on your pocket. Furthermore it is not much longer. Not even 30 minutes more.

Good luck and enjoy Treasure Beach!!!!!
