The Treasure Girls won the Jamaica League Competion yesterday, making them a two time champion!
The final match of the tournament was played against New Berry yesterday at Campion College, Kingston. The match ended in a draw. The Treasure Girls batted first and was bowled out for 161. Our two top scorers were Petagaye Hanson with 38 runs and Patricia Cuffe with 45. J. Morgan from New Berry got 4 wickets.

In reply, New Berry made 110 for 4 with rain ending play. Lorna McKay was top scorer for New Berry with 47 and Petagaye Hanson got 3 wickets for Treasure Girls.

Next, is the try-outs for the Jamaica National team starting this week. The team will be playing in a competition in Trinidad. We wish our Treasure Girls who are trying out for positions on the national team all the best.
A knock-out competition will begin in June. We hope to bring that trophy home to St. Elizabeth as well!!

I tell you, the Treasure Girls are fearsome. I watched them play a game in March and there is nothing 'girlie' about their game at all. They are all true professionals!
