Hello friends!

I'm considering Golden Sands for a stay next summer...the 1BR cottage...but would appreciate any opinions, thoughts or ideas about the property...pros and cons are welcome :-)

Golden Sands is a great, inexpensive option for a visit to Treasure Beach. I've stayed there twice in the past couple of years and heartily recommend it.

The manager, Jackie, is a friendly, helpful person. And it has the best stretch of beach in the immediate area, enlivened by occasional soccer games.

I have stayed at the Golden Sands, with family and friends and would endorse the recommendations. It's the spec on that stretch and we will be back to our familiar again this year.

I have never stayed there but it walking distance to a number of restraunts & bars.

I've stayed twice at Golden Sands and would return in a heartbeat (and hope to). Jackie is great - so helpful and kind. She'll assist with any needs you might have. As is true in Treasure Beach in general, everyone that "hangs out" at Golden Sands is friendly and fun. They make sure to watch over you and keep you safe and happy.

Yes, Jackie is great. The only drawback is no pool. Housekeeping staff is fun and funny. If you listen closely, you can pick up some VERY interesting conversations! There are a couple refrigerators to keep your goodies cold, and a nice dining area. I went by myself, with my wifes blessing, (at least I thought I had her blessing...oops.) Jackie was very much aware of my situation, and made sure I made the most of my situation. Nuf nuf respec to the hospitality at Golden Sands. The rooms are nothing special, but who cares? You have what you need, and they are cleaned well daily. We don't go to Jamaica to sit in our rooms.

Golden Sands is great. Jackie is very nice. They have the best beach front. I would recommend it to all.

Our first trip to Jamaica was to Golden Sands. My brother has been going there for years. It was great. We had a wonderful time and had no complaints at all. Wonderful hosts, great staff and a perfect setting. If you are looking to see more of the real Jamaica and not be locked away at a big resort then this is the place.

I've never stayed at the Golden Sands but it looks like a cool place to be. They bailed me out of my end-of-the-vacation-ran-out-of-jamaican-dollars-panic attack, and converted some money for me. (Whew!) =)

no matter where you chose to stay, your stay in Treasure Beach will be an enjoyable one,
oh and fyi, Jackie sits right "on the beach",
summer is so very sweet there....
