Delighted to announce that Treasure Beach Foundation has received approval of our 501 (c) (3) status from the IRS!
All donations made in 2004 after Hurricane Ivan by US residents can be used as charitable contributions for the purpose of 2004 income tax filings. (If there are questions, consult your tax advisor.)
I will be sending letters to this effect to all who contributed; however, I am on travel starting tomorrow, will not return until tax returns are due, and cannot possibly get the letters out before I depart.
We will soon be able to get to the "regular," ongoing business of Treasure Beach Foundation -- providing healthcare and scholarships in the community. And, from now on, all donations will be tax-deductible. More to come on this ...
Hey, that's great news, Karen.
Hopefully those who gave so generaously will get a break from Uncle Sam.
Anyone in the US who itemizes their deductions will now be able to list their donations to Treasure Beach Foundation. This is a "double" benefit -- doing good for the residents of Treasure Beach, while being able to deduct your contributions.
We are set up to accept checks as well as donations made through PayPal (enabling you to use a credit card if that's more convenient).
Checks may be sent to:
