I have been trying to get thru to TB people for days. I can't get thru 99 times out of 100.
BUT TB can get thru to me. I'm sure a lot of people have discovered this.
Most of my friends have run out of minutes calling family and friends since the storm. I get a call to "shout mi back" and spend the rest of the day trying to get thru... aaarrrrggghhhhhh!!!!!!
Wellll... Do you know that you can add minutes to any digicel (prepaid) phone online? Using a credit or debit card? Even from the US!!
The address is: https://webflex.digicelgroup.com/default.aspx
I've added the minutes and sent a text to let them know that the credit is there and please call me.
Thank you Kate! That is invaluable info!!! Technology really is helping us become one people:-)
Unfortunately the digicell website does not seem to accept UK credit cards. Does anyone out there know of any other way for UK residents to top up their loved ones' minutes?
Correction, you can top up from the UK, I have just done it. This website is a Godsend, than you to everyone out there for all the useful information.
Does Cable and Wireless have this system also?
Sorry Jodie I have no idea. Try doing a search for C&W Jamaica and see what it says about prepaid service.
Jodie I found the C&W site, but it doesn't seem to have that service.
Have a look at:
http://www.cwmobile.com/jamaica/bFree_index.asp
I emailed their customer service and asked if they had any suggestions to your dillema (with C&W) I explained the situation, and asked them to either contact me with whatever info they could provide, or directly to the link (to this thread) which I provided...
However, lol while i was typing in my response to this thread, I got a lovely email from the mailer-daemon.
sorry!
I forwarded the same note to the part of the site that says "problem with website" assuming it will get to the webmaster, and he can send the note to wherever it needs to be. (if he chooses to)
The webflex page on the digicel site is down, or at least I can't seem to access it..is anyone else having this difficulty?
Yes, it's been down since yesterday. I'll bet it's taking a lot of hits since Ivan.
Calls coming out of Jamaica are still going thru much better than calls going in.
