2 days ago Old Wharf was smoked out thanks to the burning of green bush (around the Great Pond). The owner, Mister James, seemed surprised that the fire was totally out of control, a day where there was no water in the pipe (and in any case no access to water on the land, Great Pond nearly dry again) and a lot of wind, in a really dry area: perfect conditions to burn without danger?
Same question to the owner of another land in Old Wharf, who tried to burn today a heap 3 times as tall as a man, bush not totally dry, between 2 houses, with no water in the pipe. Even if the man in charge is a professional, water on site is the minimum
2 days before, this residential area was totally in the mist, neighbors got smoked like salmon and got upset …
A dear friend keeps reminding me that common sense isn't very common. It seems there isn't enough to go round.
another day in paradise
