In imitation of an unofficial Code of Conduct for safety & peace-of-mind in Treasure Beach, "the Government has instituted a temporary suspension of the operations of personal water crafts (PWCs) or private jet skis across the island, with immediate effect."
The operators, elsewhere, will howl & moan until they have their "free" ways again, but perhaps some wise heads will put in place regulatory measures that will protect the safety & relaxation of the general public.

I'm very glad to hear this news. I personally loathe jet skis. They are noisy, polluting and dangerous to people and wildlife. This is a winner for TB and those that love TB for the peaceful atmosphere.
Great news!
Perfectly wonderful.
This will eliminate a lot of water pollution and noise pollution--and danger.
I've read numerous comments from people in Negril now saying how nice it is to not have them...to be able to swim "outside the buoys", the quiet...people who didn't notice the constant buzz until it was gone.
