Who can List the Top 3 Restaurants/Cook-shops in the area, preparing creative vegetarian meals...not merely steamed cabbage (plus) heaped on rice & peas with "mystery" curry gravy that shared the same pot with a chicken?

I would have thought "Stew Peas" would have been a better monicker for the above poster...

Axel...you are an amazing designer/chef, and wouldn't it be wundebar gesund (wonderfully healthy), if the Andrea Steak House might transform, a few days, into a colourful veggie-fruit buffet of all your Tastes of Jamaica treats.

We once had to come up with a menu, when an Asian vegetarian ambassador, did not wish to embarrass his guests by his eating a meal different than themselves. So we used a product, called seitan, to mold into a mock chicken presentation. No one was any the wiser, and the seitan's bouquet garni took on all the flavours of a talented chef's secrets.

Seitan does have the issue of being wheat gluten ("wheat meat") which affects some with an intolerance (celiac disease/wheat allergies).

Look forward to such a treat. I've eaten from some of the vegetarian restaurants in Kingston and Montego Bay. They all do brisk business and offer tasty nutritional meals at a reasonable price.

Wish lunch: Boiled organic native multicolour corn with local palm oil and nutritional yeast (used to be made here in the last war). Mixed green salad with cashews and dried ripe pawapaw. Green gungo run down with multigrain dumplins. Westmoreland organic? brown rice. Organic carrot juice, no water, ice or sugar. Pumpkin pie with soya nut ice cream. Fresh fruit in season available. The sign of quality; cool, clean water in glasses free of soap and fragrances taste. Fresh coconut water on request.

Best.

Noticed a sign for a "healthy food" restaurant next to Sadies where Blossom had her shop...under the bouganvilla....Not sure if it is open yet but the sign is there...anybody know anything? I think that a veggie/ital restaurant would do big business in TB.

Marblue could definitely make healthy food.

I meant Marblue CAN make healthy food. I have eaten there several times and feel the meals they prepare are especially healthy and use only the freshest ingredients. They can meat special dietary needs if asked.
