But does anyone else feel concerned about the quality of the construction, specifically what seems to be a lack of upkeep and maintenance?

I've had a few private conversations with 'people in the know' who have raised these concerns and I wonder if there are others.

There are no guarantees in life, but the construction has made it through two major hurricanes. Better than a lot of houses. Someone must have pictures taken after a hurricane they could post here.

Love the Pelican Bar, but the boat ride back to TB is a bit rough for my geezer friends.
The ride out is fine. We want to benefit our TB boat trade, though, and wonder if slow back can be beautiful.

Van, it's important your boat captain knows IN ADVANCE you want a slow trip back from Floyd's. Most of the drivers will comply, but some try to do a volume business and seem to want to shave an extra 5-10 minutes off the return trip. I hate when they do it because you are almost always going against the current on the return trip, and that can make the ride quite bumpy.
