The school leavers and prize giving ceremony for the Sandy Bank Primary School was held on June 25. There was a large crowd who gathered to watch our children of the community receive their well deserved awards and certificates.

Unfortunately, due to lighting and other issues, some photos have come out a bit blurry. I was unable to photograph each graduate, but was able to manage most.
Wishing the school leavers of 2009 all the best in their future endeavors!
Thank you for sharing these wonderful photos Rebecca. I attended Sandy Bank almost 40 years ago and it's great to see the inside of the building, and the excitement on the children's faces. Congratulations to everyone and to Miss Zane in particular.

The Treasure Beach Women's Group would like to Congratulate all the student graduating from Sandy Bank Primary school and have been placed at a high school.
We were happy to donate $39,000JA from our walk-a- thon to the Treasure Beach Foundation to help with the scholarship fund and hope to do more in the future.
Congratulations to all the students leaving Sandy Bank Primary School as they enter the next exciting stage of their lives.
The Treasure Beach Women's Group is to be thanked for all they do for Treasure Beach, not only the most generous contribution they made to Treasure Beach Foundation's scholarship fund. Their health clinics, for instance, provide a much-needed service to the citizens of Treasure Beach. They deserve as much support as the readers of this forum can give them -- bringing in things to sell or give away, buying items from their shop, and so forth.
I noticed there were Christopher Tufton Scholarships given to some of the students. What are the Tufton Scholarships? Are they provided for by personal funds from our MP? Who won them?
There were also scholarships awarded by Treasure Beach Foundation (from America).
Are there any other scholarships such as government scholarships provided by the Jamaican government?
