When I was last in Treasure Beach,(in October) I saw a hole in the wall in a building at Crossroads.
I was informed that a ATM was going in .....
Can anyone confirm if that machine has been put in place?
Thank you.

In the new plaza across the street from the gas station. It is right on the end of the two-story block of stores.

In addition to the ATM machine, the big new plaza at Pedro Cross has a great supermarket and wholesale, a fitness center, hardware store, auto parts, restaurant and other shops.

what's the max the ATM gives in one day in US dollars?

I'm sitting her trying to figure out where all this land is that this plaza at Pedro Cross is built on. I remember the location of gas station and a shop, then a shop right by Miss Hessy's gate and across was a house belonging to Miss Ethla. Now there is a plaza.... wonderful!!!!.

The ATM does not give US dollars, only Jamaican dollars. The amount you can withdraw will be the JA equivalent of what your bank allows you to withdraw in a day. So for example, if your bank allows you to withdraw $200 US or $200 CA per day, the ATM will allow you to withdraw the JA equivalent of that amount.

Long Timer, if you are arriving at Crossroads from TB, you take a right heading towards Southfield and the plaza is there on the right.

Great news! I used to have to go to Black River or Junction to take out $$.

Rebecca - I have a $500 daily limit on my withdraws - but when I was attempting to make withdrawls in Black River (I have used 2 different machines there) I was only allowed to withdraw an amount that was less then my max. allowed - also the bank charges were very high, I think it was approx $5 per transaction

That could be an issue from my bank, I never really bothered to check

Hi Rebecca
Now that the fitness centre has closed, do you know where the nearest fitness centre / gym is.

Many thanks
Nicki

My experience has been that each machine has a limit per transaction. Seems like JA$15000. But if your card has a higher limit, you can make a second (third) transaction during the same day.

I'm not 100% sure of this, but it's the explanation that makes the most sense from what I've seen.

yes eric
that makes sense according to my experience
just don't forget each transaction has bank charges....... :-(

Yes Eric, that is correct. You may need to dip your card a few times to get out the amount alloted by your bank.

And just FYI folks, unless they've fixed the machine, it takes a good few minutes for your money to come out at the ATM at Crossroads. I was about to call the bank from the ATM the other day thinking my money was stuck when it finally came out. Soon come!

Sure do. If you ask me, Treasure Tours drivers are the best!! Although I may be a bit prejudice. You can contact us at treasuretours@cwjamaica.com or call us at 876-965-0126. Just let us know your airline, flight number and time of arrival and one of our drivers will meet you at the airport holding a sign with your name on it.

Maybe someone else reading this can give you an answer.

there is now a place in the plaza opppsite the supermarket that offers phone services and it also has an internet cafe. The Sevice is very good and to the supermarket i think there is a need for more cashiers because most of the time only 2 or 3 of them is working and this can be really inconveniet. So please try to get all the machines working.

Many thanks.
