YS Waterfalls
This waterfall, comprised of eight cascades falling 120 feet, is one of the most beautiful and well-kept attractions in Jamaica. (In fact, the Browne family, owners for the last 110 years, recently won an environmental award for their efforts.) A tractor-drawn jitney takes you through fields of Guango, Cotton, Quickstick and Cedar trees where thoroughbred racehorses and Jamaican Red Poll cattle graze. At the end of the ride lies the waterfall, complete with a Tarzan-style rope swing, calm pools for swimming, picnic areas, and changing rooms. For an additional $6.00 US you can go on a 45 minute tubing excursion down the YS River starting at the bottom of the falls and ending up further downstream where the jitney will pick you up.
A Zip (Canopy) tour is now available for $30 US.
