I was born and raised on the gulf coast of Florida and have been coming to Jamaica since the early 1970s. I have a BFA in painting and studied botanical illustration at Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida. Upon retirement from a career in the museum field, my husband and I bought land just outside of Treasure Beach, designed and built a house and are now permanent residents of Jamaica. I garden, paint and do other creative things in a studio that overlooks the sea. In the summer I teach botanical drawing , painting and nature journaling at the Bullington Horticultural Center in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
