If tears could build a stairway
and memories were a lane,
i would walk right up to heaven and take you back again.
No farewell words were spoken,
no time to say goodbye,
you were gone before i knew it but, thank God
we all know why.
My heart still aches in sadness
and my tears they do still flow, what it means
to loose you only God will ever know.
But granny i know you want me to mourn
for you no more, but just to remember the happy
times that life has got in store.
So since i'll never forget you
i pledge to you today a place inside this heart of mine is where you will always stay.
