i had the opportunity to see him and he was on record all the way through my trip to Belize in 1980. He was an great musician and he died on the same day that Peter Tosh was born. His voice was an amazing likeness to Peter. I loved him and will miss his creativity. I am a reggae phenatic and will miss his contributions. If you don't know his music check it out. A true spiritual musician.

Another fatality that should not have happened.

May his soul rest in peace. Jah Rasta Fari. May the violence one day end.

Let there be peace on Earth and let it begin with me...another senseless killing of a human being that inspired us all with great music...

May light perpetual shine upon him. He will live on for a long time through his music.

The world, yet again, has lost one of her sons to the gun. It is so coincidental that he was taken in a similar fashion to his inspirational hero, Peter Tosh. Rest In Peace, my brother.

Lucky was a true reggae artist. A South African whose message was in his music, he recognized the importance of reggae music in carrying his message of Peace, Love, and Inity. His last album entitled "RESPECT" fittingly caps what he was all about. Once again, the evil that dwells within has taken another gift from us.

Lucky Dube saw the light of reggae music as a medium to inspire and uplift people globally. His vocals and sentiments similiar to our late Peter Tosh has become a part of our musical legacy. He will be greatly missed. But as one of his songs suggests, let us move forward, "Together as one."

The world has lost a Star.Lucky Dube has left a legacy
I believe sometime God know best. Garnet Silk, Peter Tosh and Bob Marley to name a few carried a message in their music and their memories and music will live on. (they were messengers)

Lets remember we are one people, regardless of our colour

May his soul rest in peace
