Canada 1, rest assure that the others are equally drilled to obtained their best. However, some have greater abilities than others and consequently their levels of attainment will vary in certain examinations. But you know what , they are all our childen. They all have talents of different kinds and can be successful given the support they need.I happen to know most if not all of those stalwarts that have given long and dedicated, professional service to the school; going many times beyond the call of duty to help the little ones to uplift themselves.

Let's be kind to each other. I commend the teachers for their hard work in helping the students to find a place in life. I vouch for their integrity in making sure that each child achieve his or her best.

Native I hear you loud and clear. I am a past student of Sandy Bank Primary.. thanks to all the exposure the school is getting, hopefully it will make a difference for all.I would love to see less children from the community being bussed to schools in other parts of Elizabeth at such a young age.I would love someone to address this for me, especially the ones that thinks I am implying something. I have those kids interest at heart they are the future plus a lot of them are related to me. When I see the great work of one like Karen Kennedy you can only be thankful.

I wish this site would allow me to put the feed back that I get from Parents as to why they are bussing their children- feed back never hurts, that is why they have surveys. I guess Iwill be told put my feed back somewhere else.

Canada 1 I understand exactly what you are saying. Sometime we have it in us to reach great heights, but we just lay around and think that is all we can do. So we need a little push from our parents or friends along the way. Bea I dont see what is so hard to understand.

I have read all the comments that have been posted re Sandy Bank School students not being pushed; only favourites (???) and students "bussing" to other schools.Well i am a past student of Sandy Bank Primary and i can honestly say that i was not the smartest kid in school but today i feel proud that i can read all the comments on this website and i can also post a message. To sum it up, i am very literate. I know i wasn't treated any differently from other students. What pained my heart was when i saw those dedicated teachers trying their best and many students only idled their time away and many parents kept their children from school for days/weeks. As for the "bussing", it is good to know statistics. Once i was home on vacation and i asked the same question. When i got the statistics i discovered that these schools were not really performing any better; it was just that they had more students sitting the GSAT exam eg. over 100). Now when the results come out the ratio or percentage would not be any different from those of Sandy Bank. One thing i do know also, is that the Sandy bank students who are at high school are doing extremely well. Enquiries can be made at these schools. I now take this opportunity to also thank the hard working teachers of Sandy Bank who have molded the lives of so many. Please encourage the teachers to continue to do their best.
