Our sympathy goes out to Mr. Earl Wright and family from Newell. Maas Earl's daughter--Sonia--recently passed away in England. I think her body will be flown to Jamaica for burial.

At this time I do not have all the facts, so I hope additional postings will provide us with more accurate information.

could someone say if this is the Sonia Wright that went to St Elizabeth High School in Black River in the year 1958/61.Her grandfather was Percy Wright.

I don't think it's that Sonia. This Sonia's father is Earl Wright. Her mother (deseased) was Miss Cynthia. Also deseased are two brothers Ausley and Dalphey. The whole family had migrated to England, but parents returned to live in Newell (neighboring Titin Roach and Evelyn Sanderson).

Sonia slept away peacefully (in England)on November 13 at 1:30 am. She passed away after a brief illness. Sonia is survived by her father Earl Wright; brothers Winston and Kingsley; sister Maureen; and two children Mark and Tanya.

Sonia's body will be flown home to Jamaica, and funeral arrangement is set for December 2 and interment in the family plot in Newell, St Elizabeth

I symphatize with Maas Earl and family on the passing of Sonia. May the Lord strenghten "Pop I" and give him the courage to carry on as he is about to bury yet another of his children.
