Hi Gordon,Clinton,Dorothy, and the rest of the family:

I am truly sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I can empathize with you because I have experienced what it is to lose someone in death. But you know, the Bible makes it clear that God did not originally intend for humans to die. He created the first human pair Adam and Eve, placed them in an earthly paradise called Eden, and instructed them to have children and to extend their paradise home earth wide. Lacking appreciation for God’s kindness, they disobeyed and brought sin and death (Romans 5; 12).
When the enemy death strikes (no matter how slow and gradual or how sudden), your grief can be great, yet, because we have confidence in the resurrection, our sorrow will not be unrelenting. As the Bible says, you will not sorrow just as the rest who have no hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13). Rather, we will draw close to God in prayer, and the Bible promises that God will sustain us through these difficult times (Psalm 55:22). Your mom is sleeping (1 Thessalonians 4:13) and is free from suffering (Ecclesiastes 9:5). Also, there is in the resurrection hope, where the Bible promises the hope of seeing your loved one again ( John 5:28, 29: Acts 24:15). It will be like a great family reunion. As in the case of the widow of Nain you will experience great joy (Luke 7:11-17). I certainly look forward to seeing my dear mother (Mamut)again.
I extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family, and may the THE GREAT GOD OF COMFORT do comfort you during this time.
God bless

Hi Gordon, here's a little gem of thought that I found.I think you can use it at this time:

EVERY SUNRISE

Every sunrise is a present, a gift from God above,
Gift-wrapped with scarlet ribbons and tied with bows of love.

Each day's a new beginning, a time to start anew,
While all the stars are sleeping, and the rose is fresh with dew.

Every day's a new creation, too lovely to ignore,
And we may find a blessing, just outside our door.

We cannot keep the past, like fireflies in a jar;
Nor journey to the future by wishing on a star.

Every sunrise is a blessing, a gift for just today.
Rejoice, my friend, embrace it before it fades away!

Everything Happens For a Reason

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, they serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become.

You never know who these people may be; your roommate, your neighbor, professor, long lost friend, lover or even a complete stranger who, when you lock eyes with them, you know that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.

And sometimes things happen to you and at the time they seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would never have realized your potential, strength, will power of heart.

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments or true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of the soul.

Without these small tests, if they be events, illnesses or relationships, life would be like a smooth paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. Safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless.

The people you meet who affect your life and successes and downfalls you experience, they are the ones who create who you are. Even the bad experience can be learned from... Those lessons are the hardest and probably the most important ones.

If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart... forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart.

If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and opening your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them.

Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen, let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high. You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it.

I wish you all the best in your endeavors as well as struggles in life. Have a fighting spirit and never hesitate to get back in the struggle!
