Big congratulations to Winnie & Patrick Hylton on the grand opening of Taino Cove this past Saturday night.
The dedication ceremony was beautifully MC'd by Ms. Amina Meeks who brought forth the point of the Taino Indians (the original inhabitants of Jamaica) as being a gentle, civilized people and the opening of Taino Cove should be a symbol of Jamaica returning to a more gentle and civilized nation.
The guest speaker, Dr. Fenton Fergusson, Minister of Transport and Works, spoke of the importance of the small hotels, guest houses, and villas within the tourism product and congratulated the Hyltons as being fine examples of returning residents coming home to invest in Jamaica.
Ms. Winnie Hylton welcomed us all to Taino Cove and told of the dream she had of coming back to her home parish after living abroad for 40 years and starting this business.
We were entertained by the best mento band in all of St. Elizabeth, T. Miller and the Lititz Mento Band and were encouraged to tour the beautifully decorated facility.
Welcome to the Treasure Beach family Taino Cove. We wish you peace and prosperity.
More details? Like: where, what it offers, number of rooms, amenities, rates?
Congratulations and welcome to Treasure Beach - it is always fantastic to have Jamaicans come back "home" and invest in tourism...
