You were taken away from us so suddenly. You were one amazing woman who taught us all how to be a loving dedicated parent. Even when life dealt you a difficult hand, you never once shun your responsibility to give 100% of your love and care to your child. We will forever treasure your memories and they will live on with us forever. So goodbye dear Sis, we know where you are and we will see you on the other side.

Her parents were Johnnie and Ivy Ebanks of Flagaman. Many may remember her story appearing in the Gleaner few years back of her baby daughter receiving inappropriate medical treatments in Black River resulting in paralysis. She stood by her daughter from day one, never once complaining of the difficult hand fate had dealt. God chose to take her suddenly from us and we will never question why. But we know that she left a legacy of how to be a dedicated parent always giving 100% to her children.

So sad to learn of the passing of my sister in law, Ottie. She was a truly dedicated mother and wife – one in a million.
She toiled so hard to look after Melissa, her disabled child, whose life was turned upside down [edited by TB.Net] She will be sadly missed and our sympathies go to Alty, Melissa and Natalie.
