Happy 20th anniversary to Jake's who marked this wonderful occasion with a big party Jake's style! Great horderves were passed around (my personal favorite were the raw oysters - what a treat!). Lots of rum punch flowing, wonderful music and the highlights of the night of the one and only Ernie Smith performing treating us to his great classics and a fabulous slide show documenting Jake's from inception til today.

There was a bit of a damper put on the night by a 15 minute rainfall but for those of us living here it felt great and considered it a further blessing of the night during this drought.

I have to say even being a big Ernie Smith fan my favorite part of the night was the slide show. Wow! Did that bring me back down memory lane!! It reminded me of where we were 20 years ago and how far we have come.

Congratulations to the Jake's family on achieving this milestone and we wish for them many more years of success!

Hope there will be many more nighs like this to come.
