It is with a heavy heart and saddness that iam extending my deepest sympathy to miss Bev and her daughters and also the entire church congregation of Southfield and Billys Bay.Brother Bent was a great Pastor and a wonderful person,very respectable and dedicated man to the lord, and the community which he cared about dearly. He was a faithful servant of the lord. Iam still in shock, and very sadden to hear of his sudden passing, its been a while since I last saw him but I still remember all the good times I had growing up in the church in Billys Bay.His shoes will be a very hard one to fill. Brother Bent you have left a void in our hearts and lives that will never be filled, but I know you are rejoycing with the lord, may you rest in peace.

My father was very well known and loved and I know he will be sadly missed by all. He is now safe in the arms of Jesus.

I had the privilege of spending time with him and being a guest in his home on several occasions when I visited Jamaica from the UK. All Pipie knew about me was that I was his daughter Sara's friend and that was enough for him. You are all in my prayers, especially Mrs Bent for I know he was your right hand, as you were his. Pastor Bent will never be forgotten. He, and indeed his family, impacted many lives; especially the youth who often used Malvern Chase for sports. Our prayers are with the family and we now look forward to seeing him again at the second coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. My most indelible memory of Pastor Bent is him preaching a sermon entitled "The Fire Next Time" in Queensbury Square ... may those of us who need to, do what is necessary to avoid that fire.
