The Lewis family announce with regret the passing of Henry Lewia, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and cousin. He died of natural causes on Friday night, May 13 in the Black River Hospital. He is truly missed.
Henry Lewis is formerly of Bigground Dist, St. Elizabeth and Aldershot, England. He has many friends and relatives in the Treasure Beach area and would visit them quite often. He is very fond of by so many people who knew him.
Where was Mr Lewis from?
Rest in peace my dear cousin. Memories of Summers and holidays spent during our younger years in Big Ground will be cherished. Also, the smile on your face when you opened your door and saw Baba, Eugenie and myself standing at your door in April was priceless.......RIP.

To just asking, Mr. Lewis was born in Bigground Dist, near Treasure Beach, migrated to the Uk in the 60's return to Jamaica in the 90's. He resided in Mountainside, St. Elizabeth.
He is truly missed.
His twin sister lives in England, her name is Dora she is married to Elan James, Mass Joe Joe son, from Frenchman and they are also brother and sister to Winferd, who owns Golden Sand.
When will be the funeral service for Henry Lewis
Just heard today of the Passing of Henry. My condolences are with the family during this time of bereavement.
Henry and I have been good friends from our childhood days, we both emigrated to England around the same time where we continued to be friends. We both returned back to Jamaica and our friendship continued still. We had many a good times with plenty of jokes and laughter. I am shocked to hear of his passing and saddened that i will not be able to attend his burial as im in the UK at the moment. It is of great comfort to read all of your kind words here today. Uncle Henry was a great great man who will be sorely missed by so many of us, especially my Mum, his twin sister Dora Lewis James. I will make sure that Mum gets to see these messages when she comes back to England.

Henry was laid to rest on Sunday June 5. We wish to thank everyone who supported us on that day by turning out in full force despite the heavy showers of rain. Your presence gave us the courage to make it through the day and to carry on with thoughts of knowing that Henry was well loved and respected.
I would also like to thank everyone for there support and prayers to our family which has been very compforting for us and to know that my father was loved and respected by many people. May God bless and keep you all with good health and strenth, Many thanks again.
