I would like to pass my condolences on to the family and friends of Emsley Elliott, better know as Cun, as he passed away on Christmas Eve. Cun was 81 years old and leaves one son and one daughter.

Cun was a gardener working at Sparkling Waters Villas for over 30 years. His friend Miss Ida said Cun was a God fearing man who was very loving to the children. "He was one in a million", she says, "like a shephard taking care of his flock."

Cun was well known as a firewalker. I have heard the story often of how Cun walked through the fire and came out without so much as one hair being singed. Miss Ida says he credited the power of God for allowing him to do this.

I have such fond memories of Cun. As far back as I can remember he has always been a positive influence in my life. A wonderful teacher...teaching me about the joy of sharing and caring. If it was the only mango or almond left on the tree, he would always come and call me.."Ma Margaret"..and I would always go to him for my mango or almond and a smile. Always a smile. The greatest gift of all. I was priviledged to witness the fire walking....AMAZING!!!!!
May you rest in peace, Cun.

Sangie and I send our best wishes and sympathy to the family of Emsley Elliot. For the past 30 years Cun always had a warm welcome when we arrived in Treasure Beach, first at Sparkling Waters and then "over the fence". We were always greeted with very special mangoes that he saved just for us. He was a faithful neighbor, and kept a considerate watch over us and the property. Cun's warm greetings will be missed, but always remembered.
