On behalf of my wife Daicia, daughter Brittina, son Matthew, and myself I would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to Dawn Moxam, Kevin Mills, and all the staff of Smurf's Cafe for coming up with the idea and hosting a fundraiser for me on Saturday night.

I would also like to thank the many volunteers who assisted the Smurf's Cafe staff and to all my family, old friends, new friends, and even friends I hadn't met yet for coming out to support us.

I hope you all had as good a time as I did!

I would also like to thank the friends, family and business persons of Treasure Beach who once they heard I needed help came immediately with financial assistance.

To all of you I sincerely appreciate your kindnesses and prayers.

For those who may not have heard a few months ago Peck (Gregory Sinclair), a boat tour operator, fisherman, and good friend to many in this community, was diagnosed with cancer of the lining of his lung. The technical terms are Stage IV non small cell metastatic adenocarcinoma. The chemotherapy treatment he is on is a new type of treatment called Alimta along with Cisplatin. As Alimta is new it is not available through the public health system and is very expensive. He will be receiving his third treatment of a recommended six treatments on Friday this week.

Since his first treatment he has felt much better and thankfully so far has had no adverse side effects from the treatments. In his words "hard for a fisherman to feel nauceous".

If you have any further questions or if you were unable to attend the fundraiser and would like to contribute towards his treatment costs please contact Daicia at mauga80@hotmail.com.

You can view photos of the event here or by the link in the Photo Gallery

As we get regular updates from Trevor, we continue to keep you in our daily thoughts Peck, and in our prayers! Looks like a great turn out, and for that support, I am glad for you and your family!!

Clara Mae loved seeing new pictures of her second cousins Brittina & Matthew. And she said that if Brittina ever wants to be pen pals with her because they are so close in age, that would be fun! (Daicia, feel free to email me if she wants Clara Mae's mailing address).

Peck, we send you, Daicia, your children and all of your family love and positivity now and always!

Take good care. We hope to see you soon!

Coralie Waschkowski & Clara Mae James

Good afternoon Mrs Daicia Sinclair,
I hope everything is well with you. I was browsing the ebsite and i saw some information about your husband Mr Gregory Sinclair and i
also was informed about his illness. Firstly let me introduce myself, My name
is Simone Samuels and i live in Santa Cruz. I believed that a few months ago in
November of last year your husband was a patient at the facility where i worked
and that is Island Radiology, I am sending my well wishes to you, your children,
friends and of course to Mr. Sinclair himself. I pray that God will give you
both strength in this battle and God is bigger than cancer and other thing, and
base on the pictures that i saw on the fundraising i see that your husband is
enjoying and fighting life and telling himself based on the facial expression is
that its gonna beat his disease and its not going to weigh him down and i see
that as a motivation for me, cause at times, i do want to give up on life and
here i am not going through what Mr Sinclair and i want to give up on life , so
that motivates me and i know that God will come true he is the healer of all and
i know in my heart that Mr. Sinclair will overcome this battle. Your all in my
prayers, and i wish i could contribute towards the treatment but not right now.
However i do want to help in any way that i can. If you do wish to speak with
me, this is my cell number is 459-8439 or my work number at 966-4013. Take
care and God bless you always.

The email address listed for Peck and Daicia is incorrect. The correct address is mauga80@hotmail.com

To Home Girl, Peck's mother Miss Prudence is the niece of Miss Dover James and Beres Taylor. Peck was born in Aligator Pond but came to live in Billy's Bay with Miss Dover and Mas Arthur Keith when he was young.
