Once again i am returning to this forum to report the passing of ms Verney Brooks of shorthill dist on 8-25-10 ,she was a very good friend of the williams family we all grew up together a woman who cares and also shares with others, material things and thoughts. my sincere condolence goes out to her children,brothers,sisters,family members and friends.May God be with you all and her soul rest in peace.

Couldn't believe it when I heard. I remember when my siblings and I were young we would go up the backway and go visit ms vernie. Lots of childhood memories in short hills. Rest in Peace Ms Vernie

I am so elated that I had the opportunity to interact with such a great woman. As my sister posted so many childhood memories that has evolved my being. I am saddened to hear of the passing of Ms Vernie can only hope that she will rest in peace....

No one knows when or how we will go. Never thought Vernie's would be so quick but God knows best.My sympathy to all.
