It is so very hard to lose a loved one when the grave seem so final. Today, I can say to my dear staff and friend Beverly that the person that she described to me as her 'daddy', (Mr Roddy Swaby) seem to be one that has lived his life in such a way that we profoundly believe that he has gone home to be with Jesus. Therefore, the grave is not final and death is swallowed up in victory!

Beverly, you are the woman you are today because of having such a wonderful father that was Mr. Roddy. I am happy that he brought you up in such a way that today you are one of the most nuturing Vice Presidents to our staff at Cayman National.

To all the Swaby family, keep the faith, Daddy has just gone on to be with Jesus; he sleeps!

God bless you all in this very difficult time.

From: Norma and all your friends and colleagues at Cayman National,Grand Cayman.

I cannot forget the days when Pa would come home from sea and said Ber not a thing in the pots today and with the same tone of voice would say, BUT Raddy give me this. He would open his shuthead bag there was a bottle of coconut oil rice , flour, sugar two pack of crackers, and of course enough fish so we could have dinner. Uncle thank you. We as a family are blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives. My mom, aunt Joe, Uncle Raddy and aunt Masie were so close. They love us all, and o boy did we get kisses when we see them. To my uncle children, grans, great grans I want you to remember that Uncle Raddy has lived afull life, and I can truly say he was well taken care of by you guys. A gentle wind blew across the land,
Reaching out to take a hand,
For on the winds the angels came,
Calling out a father's name,
Left behind the children's tears,
Loving memories of the years,
Of joy and love a life well spent,
And now to God a father's sent,
On angels wings a heavenly flight,
The journey home towards the light,
To those who weep a life is gone,
But in God's love tis but the dawn.

To the Swaby family

I want to express my condolences. Your dad was loved and respected by all who knew him. I will miss visiting with him when I'm home. Stay Strong and be comforted by each other, he is in a better place.

Uncle Raddy, Captain, Brother Raddy, all names we affectionately called him by in the community will be sadly missed. Pearl is right, the first thing he says when he greets you is Uncle baby and a big kiss. Uncle Raddy and our father began in the later years looking alike that it was scary, you could not see one and did not see the other, the resemblance was startling, they share all there sickness together, the joy of raising their children through good times and bad times. Uncle Raddy and Sta Zelda lived their lives to the fullest for their children and grandchildren. They mattered the most to them and then his neighbors, friends and the wider community. We will all miss you uncle, but God saw that you were getting tired and you no longer enjoyed been on the verandah or outside sitting on your favorite chair. No doubt your family will miss you the most, but your legacy will forever live on, they knew you made them all proud and so they were of you. Rest in Peace Uncle Raddy, we miss you and we love you.

As we sit here and refect on the lost of our father and grand-dad, we realize he has touched the lives of many individuals in different ways. From his children, to his grandchildren, to his great-grandchildren, as well as other family and friends.

He will continue to be a captain on the course of a new beginning. We will always feel him steering us in the right directions of life. As he watches over us.

You will always be remembered and loved.

Love,
Mar, Jermaine and Luetasha (aka Tesha)

I have heard such wonderful things about this great man, Roddie Swaby. But unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity to meet him. I have met his daughters and his grandchildren. What a great and loving family to become a part of.

Love,

Just a song of comfort for the family of Mass Rodey. I empathise with the family in your time of bereavement. No matter how old the individual is - the fact is that another link in the chain is gone.
Take time to grieve. Cherish the fond memories. Our only hope is in God.
Please enjoy the song.

THANK YOU

On behalf of the Swaby's family I would like to
thank each and everyone for the kind and comforting expressions of sympathy you showed us during the loss of our dad, grand-dad, great grand-dad, brother and uncle.

It has been a difficult time for us but with the love you all showed us at the set-up and funeral told me one thing, my dad was well loved, respected and touched a lot of people's lives.

May the good Lord continues to bless you and keep you in Grace, Mercy and Peace always.
