Rosie, I knew little that on Saturday,
God was going to call you home.
In life I loved you dearly,
In death I do the same.
It broke my heart to lose you,
But you did not go alone.
For part of me went with you,
On Saturday, when you were called home.
You left me some beautiful memories,
Your love is still my guide.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same.
But when God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
Sleep on my dear "SWEET ROSE",
I hope we'll meet again.
I love you dearly sis.
Patsy (Yvonne)
To Rosie's children (Mar & Kerry), brother(s), sisters and all other relatives, please accept my condolences on the passing of Rosie. What a shock; can hardly fathom it. Mar and Kerry stay strong and know that God never gives us more than we can bear.

My sincere condolence to Rosemarie Brown children and family. We met in grade seven and we were in the same class from there on until graduation day. Even though we were far apart, I will always remember and miss you. Until we meet again, sleep on my friend.
My condolence to Rosemarie,s family. This is very sad for me. I will miss her very much. When I visit, I always try to meet up and reminisce on the good old school days.We would have a good laugh and joke about our teachers. We talk about our classmates what they are up to. I will always keep those memories in my heart. Rest in Peace My Head Girl.
It's hard to find words to express the horror and sorrow I feel at the passing of this beautiful woman in the prime of her life.
Only God can explain why these things happen to His children; in the meantime, the best we can do is support the family through this deep grief and hold them up in prayer. Patsy is my sister-in-law and my heart breaks to see her in such agony on the loss of her beloved sister.
With deepest sympathy to her, to Rosie's children and the entire family. Stay strong and the good Lord will see you all through this.
My sincere condolence to Rosemarie Brown’s children and family. I taught her at Newell High School (then Newell Secondary), and I remember her vividly as an extraordinary, talented, beautiful student. She was with an outstanding group of students—one of the best groups I’ve worked with in all my years of teaching (which are many). After several years, Rosie and I met recently at a bank in Santa Cruz and spoke at length. Now I wish I had spent more time.
Rosie is now asleep in Jehovah God’s memory. I look forward to seeing her beautiful smile again, in God’s righteous New World. In the meantime, I wish her family well and hope this posting might be some consolation.
Hi Yvonne, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved and beautiful sister. You and your sisters have always shine beautiful inside and out. Give AnnMarie a big hug for me and my deepest sympathy to all your family

Hi, need to know.
No, it's not me (Rosie) thank God I'm alive and well. Thanks for your concern.
To Rosie Family And Friends Gone But Not forgotten Don't think of her as gone away, her journey's just begun. Life holds so many facets,This earth is only one. Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears, In a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how she must be wishing that she could know, today, Now nothing but your sadness can really pass away. And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched, for nothing loved is ever lost. And she is loved so much.

Dear Sis Rosie,
It is with great SHOCK to learn of your passing. You did not deserve to die so soon and in such a painful and brutal way. Everyday I think of your smile, your laughter, and your kind and helpful ways. I remember the week I spent with you in 2006 like it was yesterday. We were out on the road having fun together and at the same time taking care of your Insurance business.
I know you loved and served God and had a strong faith. You are gone but will not be forgotten. Pleasant memories will live on. Sleep on my Sis. MAY YOUR SOUL REST IN PEACE.
Sadly missed by your Sister Gloria and family.
To dearest sister Rosie, god have taken you at a tender age. I remember the good times and memories that we shared over the past years from childhood until the last moments of your life. So sorry to hear of this death. My condolences to her family. I am from Treasure Beach, but not sure if I knew Rosie,or any of her family, but I was just curious if she died tragically or was murdered, as someone mentioned above that she died in such a painful and brutal way. So sad.
God's blessings to the family.
Can someone please post more information about a facebook that was created in memory of Ms. Rosemarie Brown. Which name was it posted under, as many people with the same name are on facebook, so if someone can please provide more information about the facebook account, that would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
When I heard the news of Rosie's passing I felt numb.
I can remember when Rosie was head girl at Newell. She was modest, down to earth and a very friendly person who got along with everyone.
Sometimes we often forgot people when we move away, but Rosie was one person I never forgot.
My heart goes out to her family at this sad time.
To my dear cousin Rosie, i'm so sorry to know that you have left us so sudden, without saying googbye. You will be sadly miss and will always be remember in our hearts. Love always from your cousins Avis Brown, Vaughan, and Sandra.
To mourner abroad, the face book that was created
is under the name Rosemarie Blackwood.
To "Family Member" I am having a hard time finding Rosemarie Blackwood on facebook, to simply the search, if anyone has access to the account, can someone please put a picture on this site. Under that name I only came across one person and I doubt it was her. I haven't seen Rosemarie in years, and I am pretty sure she has changed over the years. Please edit the account name, maybe you might want to put the city where she is from, that way people can identify her easily, for those who know her well, it will be easy, for those who don't, please help us. Any additional information would be helpful.
I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Rosemarie children and family on the passing of Rosemarie,God know why he took her so early from us.My heart is sad but i know that she is in a better place in heaven,Rosemarie rest in peace until we meet again.

We are still in so much shock about the untimely passing of a dearly beloved mother, sister and aunt, Rosemarie Brown-Blackwood.
It is so sad to know that your precious life was taken away so soon and in such a gruesome way.
You were such an incredibly good "Aunt", who was always there to offer your advice and assistance when needed, and your input will certainly be missed.
You were well adored and will never be fortotten.
May your soul REST IN PEACE and LIFE PERPETUALLY SHINE UPON YOU.

Rosie I am still so shocked, I can't comprehend. I did not imagine that when I saw you in October it would have been the last time our eyes would cross path and that it would have been our final Good bye close-up. We spoke at Christmas time, we spoke in the New year, never would I have known that 2010 would have been such a terrible year for the entire family. You have been taken away in such a gruesome manner. I'm angry, I've cried, I've questioned God, I've not received an answer yet and I'm still in denial. Rosie you have been my sister, you have set the pace, you have set the example that has made me who I am. I am so sorry I wasn't there in that moment when you needed help. God has chosen to take you, I know he could have stopped it but he allowed it to happen. I imagine, I'll see his purpose in due time. You did not deserve to die that way. A family link is broken that can never be replaced. We can only hold on to God and comfort each other. We'll always remember your smile, your open heart for everyone with whom you came in contact, your kindness, your heart of gold, your sense of understanding, your appearance - always so well put together and the passion you have for what you do. Rosie you will continue to live on in our hearts forever. May your soul rest in peace.

The fond memories and inspiring persona of Rosie will forever resonate in the hearts of those of us who had the pleasure of her rich contribution as school-mate.Rosie was always impeccably dressed, bears a pleasant countenance, sociable, people oriented and multi-talented.She was an activist for student welfare and development. By example, she shared some of her many talents by participating in sports, drama, choir, student counsel and and prefect body.Just a warm friendlily, approachable person who had a sharp sense of humor to bring across the most serious point. She added richness and flavor to school life. Her exemplary qualities crowned her as one of the best head girls ever at Newell High. May her children, famiy and friends be consoled by her many rich contributions to this life and the christian faith that her soul is well with our creater for ever and ever.
on the behalf of the family of Alfredo Thomas, please accept our condolences towards the family of Rosie. We do regret her passing so soon. We were like a twin family sharing the same dreams for a long time throughout careers, coming to usa and back in jamaica. We met for the last time in the bank at Santa Cruz and now I realized that that long hug when we said goodbye had meant something to both of us. We do wish her children well also her relatives and ex husband Derrick and his twin brother merrick. May her soul rest in peace.
So confusing. It seems as if she just passed away but then realized it happened long ago after reading the other condolences.
