Mary Adeline Mac Donald passed on September 2, 2009, surrounded by her family after saying the rosary. She was holding the hand of her beloved daughter Lillian Mac Donald of Treasure Beach, while grasping to the rosary beeds from Madugorie. The Beeds are made of the same wood that Jesus's cross was made of and contain a small chip from the crypt that he had been placed in. She died peacefully surrounded by love, serenity and prayer, just as she lived her life. Adeline was a nurse, ucharistic minister, bowler, card player and recently was blessed as a stigmata, as a boared in cross appeared on her left shoulder. Anyone who saw it fell in prayer and thus the Catholic Church proclaimed her a stigmata.

Adeline was predeceased by the love of her life Hugh Abdon Mac Donald and two infant suns Stephen and Pius. Surviving are her six children, Lillian of Treasure Beach, Joe, Hugh and Cathy of Massachusetts, Judith of New Hampshire and Michael of Cape Breton Island, Canada. She is also survived by her 12 grand-children and three great-grand-children.

A memorial mass will be held at the Holy Cross Cathedral in Boston on November 1, 2009, (All Saints Day) during the 11:30 am Mass and coffee and a light lunch in the dining room at the cathedral, directly following the service.
