Here’s another fun opportunity to identify at least some of the people in the photograph!
It might help you to know that the event was a meeting of the Calabash Bay Fishermen’s Co-operative in the late 1960’s.
I positively identify mass Claudie Spence. The man behind him looks quite familiar, a Moxam I believe. The three gentlemen in ties are perhaps connected to the ministry
Zim?
Mass Hartwell, and Brother Wonlis..in back behaind the man in the blue shirt
Indeed, the man behind Maas Claudie is a Moxam -- my beloved father, the late Carl Moxam. He's about 39 years old in that photo. Thanks to Tenny Graham for making the photo available to our family. And yes, Maas Zim is also in the photo.
Which one is Maas Zim?
Hi my cousin Tenny What up?
Well I must say the young man behind Claudie Spence is Laxlie Senior
which one is mass Zim and which one is mass Claudie?
I The one behind mass Claudie is Banki boy P brother,
Re. your questions, Maas Zim is the one in the blue plaid shirt with the shallow hat. Maas Claudie is the one sitting in the pinkish striped shirt.
Can anyone else come up with another identity?
Can't see Bankey in this picture?
Is the guy behind the men seated in ties, Reginald Smith?
I believe the man seated with his face averted (white shirt, black tie) could be Maas Wilton (Graham).
He was a leading member of the co-operative from the beginning and would in all likelihood have been seated at the table.Plus, the profile suggests a resemblance.
Tenny Graham, who donated this photograph, is the fair skinned youth standing in the background and he tells me the other teenager immediately in front of him (with the hand up to his mouth) is Loxley Senior.
Now, for a trickier one: Someone suggested that the young man standing to the left of Maas Zim (to his right from the perspective of the viewer) with his face partially obscured could be Wonlis Campbell. I have a feeling that this young man is a bit older than Wonlis Campbell would have been at the time. I'm guessing it could be Robert Hamilton (The photo has been lightened somewhat for better viewing so bear that in mind when you are considering some of these guesses, by the way).
the one you identify as mass Claudie, really look like Wiggan.
the one to the right with the hat look like mass Bradley.
My God Mas Carl look just like Ken Dog! family can't hide in this one
That could not be Locksley... Alvan being older than Locksley would not have been so old...but then again the sixties is ten years and we don'y have a fix as to when during the sixties this picture was taken.Zim should be much older than Locksley, and that is not evident in this picture.
1968, it is believed.
im guessing that the person in the mustard shirt is peter moxam other wise call finney and the other person with the felt hat looks like lenoard trenchfield ken dog brother and mass karl moxam
Girly, in 1968 Finey would have been eight years old.
Regarding the man in the felt hat, there's hardly any doubt that he is in fact, Carl Moxam; hence the resemblance some see in his nephews, Leonard and Ken Trenchfield.
There were two 'outsiders' who were very involved with our fishermen at the time. One was a fisheries officer; Mr. Royer (the fishermen used to call him Mr. Royee) and the other was Mr. Neil, A Peace Corps volunteer.
I don't know whether either of these two gentlemen was among those in the photograph but it is almost certain that neither the person in bow tie seated at the table nor the one speaking was from the community.
I also wonder about the man seated (with his head held down) in the far right corner of the photograph.
I got a chuckle from the person who says my dad (Carl Moxam) looks like Ken Dog! Even though Ken is indeed his nephew, it was always Clinton (AKA, Butter) whom I thought resembled him. But as you say, family can't hide.

Sorry guys that is not Robert Hamilton in the photo. However, the gentle man holding the pole is Woodroff
the one in the yellow shirt is Alvan Senior and the one between Zim I think is Lenny Spence
Who is/was Woodroff?
I believe the person meant Woodrow Ebanks - still alive. In fact I see him in the picture
I don't think that the person in question is Maas Woodrow. I'm thinking of someone else but won't call his name yet; still trying to verify.
Who is the one in the chair in the blue shirt?
Not certain if the guy "in the chair in the blue shirt" is from the community. His face is a bit too obscured to make him out fully.
Wish someone older than me could help.
