Those were the good old days!
Made from the old time non genetically modified red corn grown without pesticides, hebicides and NPK.
That was corn.
I remember my granny making corn hamony. She also used to mash peanuts after shelling and parching. What was the mashed peanut called? It was kind of moist and sweet and was soooo delish.
We used to call the peanut one peanut asham and the corn one corn asham. Delis-hous. Sweet memories. My favourite was when you add water to the asham and made asham balls. How sweet!
My father called it "belly bottom concrete". When you ate a ball all you do is drink water all day.
Belly Bottom Concrete, LOL. Peanut butter reminds me of peanut asham. Love it all and miss it to.
You want a wicked "sham-sham", combine the two, peanut & corn!!
A friend gave me some of this for the first time on my recent visit - peanut and corn together = delicious!!!
