Growing up my dad used to talk about a young man called Alvarie. I wonder if he was the same person as Frank Gayle. Could some one please shed some light on the background of Frank.Who were his parents?What about his sibblings? What type of person was he?

No Alvarie is Mr Nevis Crowe son used to lived by the sand pit in front of Miss Ann shop ,Frank Gayle is related to Miss Emma Gayle i hope that answer your question ,ask anyone over sixties who lived in Great Bay and they will be able to informed you .Alvarie was known to be a very good dancer and skillful fighter (ALVARIE AND FRANK GOD BLESS THEIR SOUL)

Alvarie was a nice guy indeed and he DID NOT LIVE IN A SAND PIT, gosh. The world has truly lost a good citizen.

Correction GB2 no one said Alvarie lived in a sand pit but by the sand pit or (understandly near the sand pit)

I don't remember Alvarie (not sure if I met him since I was born mid '59). I'm very familiar with the Snow Boy story. I also knew Maas Nevis well. We called him Primo because when he came back from Cuba he called everyone Primo(spanish for cousin), but I never knew that Alvarie was his son. RIP Alvarie.
