This 89 year old senior citizen is none other than Mrs. Celis Pearl James. She was born on February 22, 1918 at Calabash Bay in the parish of St. Elizabeth where she still resides. She attended the Sandy Bank Elementary School.

Her parents were Ina and Edward Ebanks. They were very strict in bringing her up which helped her to be who she is today. She was loved by her parents and had a good life growing up.

She is the wife of the late Newton James. The union produced eleven wonderful children. Her favourite fruit is banana and the colour she likes best is pink. Lobster is the dish she enjoys most. She was a domestic helper and was loved by all she worked for.

Her heart's desire is for the youngsters of Jamaica to live in love and always remember to have God in the midst of their lives.

My dearest aunt Liz,I want you to know how much your devotion and hard work taking care of granny means to me.It is hard work that you do,being the primary care giver of an elderly person is not an easy task but you do it unselfishly. You put your life "on hold" and were there when granny needed care the most.Care givers came and went and help themselves to her personal things which have long been replaced, but you my darling can never be replace. So,thank you aunt Liz.I love you for being you,and for giving the best of care to granny for what she so deserve.
Love you lots,Sim.

My Grandma, It's about time they get some James blood on this here website, and they started with the best first. I Wanted to let you know how much I love and miss you!!! Coming to see you last summer was hard (school and work). But looking back it was more then worth all the pain to get to see you again. Though I wasn't born there and it will never be my home, being in Jamaica with you Grandma, Aunty Liz and the family makes it such a special place. To this day I can't hold back tears when I remember having to leave you, I cried half way to the airport before I could stop. You are an inspiration and always in my heart and mind. I hope to suprise you again soon Granny. I long to hear you laugh. I LOVE YOU.

Grandma,
I'm amazed at the outpour of people who have responded to your profile but not surprised by the amount of people you have touched in the community and abroad because you are such a special person. We have a large family, some of us have never met yet you have an abundance of love for all of us. That love has been the glue for this family. I felt it as a child and will pass it down to my own family. While I only see you every couple of years, I want you to know that Matt, Taeja and I love you very much and are proud that you are the profile for this month. Your smile in the picture is the same one I saw everyday on our last trip. From what I've read today and from what I've seen of your love and blessings from God, you have alot to be happy about. Love, Debbie, Matt and Taeja

It's such a great pleasure seeing Sta Celis featured for the month of May. She looks great and well cared for and I am very proud of her and the delightful children who has given to her and Uncle Newton such unconditional LOVE...which they both deserved as they were in themselves amongst some of the best parent in Treasure Beach who has instilled good values, love, and to be respectful of others. You look GREAT. (Sorry my mom not here to see you because she always look forward to see the person who has been featured for the month and would always asked me to go online so she could see that person.) Take care we love you.
