profile

Miss Beatrice Honeyghan was born on August 26th, 1931 in Watchwell, St. Elizabeth. She has lived in Treasure Beach for fifty years.

She has seven children, two sons and five daughters. Her favourite spots in Treasure Beach are her home and the beach. Her favourite dish is baked chicken, rice and peas with vegetables. She likes the changes in Treasure Beach because it has developed a lot in the past years.

Miss Bea, as she is called, would like to see a recreation for young people built in the area. Her advice to young people is to stay focused, say no to drugs and keep their community clean.

All her children went to Sandy Bank Primary. They are proud of their former school, it is their number one school and also the teachers. She has not regretted sending them there.

Mrs. Honeyghan is one of those people who is always contributing to education. She is a very quiet and peaceful person and always has friendly advice for people.

Hi Miss B,
It is a pleasure to see you on the profile of the month. Your graciousness and posie and your beautiful smile can be seen in abundance on the photo. You are still radiant and beaming. I am always captivated by your infectious smile and kindness. There was never a time when I do not get a plum or a mango from off your tree when I am coming from school. Your wisdom and advice to remain faithful to God and he will bless you has always kept me through good times and bad times. I am blessed to have been in your company while I was growing up. Love you always.

My dear mother,
What a joy it was to see you on TB.net on Sunday! It made me so happy then but tonight as I looked at your photo and read all the messages, the tears rolled down my cheeks. I miss you so much. Anyhow, I hope to spend 2 weeks with you in July and I pray that God will keep us in His care until that time, all of us. We are looking forward to spending some quality time with you then.

You are so kind and thoughtful, always preparing food so we can eat and be filled. As a child growing up, I always wondered why so many people would stop by our house for a drink of water or something to eat, but I discovered later on in life that you attract people to you, it is a natural thing.

I thank God everyday for you and for the loving person you have been as a wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and a friend to so many of us. Keep on being you and serving Christ our Lord and King.
By the way, I think you got that smile from me!
Thanks to Amelia and TB.net for featuring you.

I LOVE YOU! Hi to mother Mack also. Merry Christmas to you all!

Your daughter, Bev

Hi Ma.B
This is a second message. The first was a bit short. I usually express myself best in poetry, so here's one for you:

CHERISHED FRIENDS

God must have known there would be
times we'd need a word of cheer,
Someone to praise a triumph
or brush away a tear.

He must have known we'd need to share
the joy of "little things"
In order to appreciate
the happiness life brings.

I think He knew our troubled hearts
would sometimes throb with pain,
At trials and misfortunes,
or goals we can't attain.

He knew we'd need the comfort
of an understanding heart
To give us strength and courage
to make a fresh, new start.

He knew we'd need companionship,
unselfish.... lasting.... true,
And so God answered
the heart's great need
with Cherished Friends.... like you!

Hi Mom, It is with great pride and joy that I sit back, relax and read all the messages sent to you on TB.net.

On behalf of the Honeyghan's family I extend a big "Thank You" to each and everyone who took the time to send an email to Mom, affectionately called Ma B. It is really appreciated.

Mother you are a gem. Each and every day I give God thanks for you, because without you my life would never be the same. I thank you for the good times and the bad times, because that is what life is all about. And, it is those good times and bad times that makes us who we are.

Mom you and my late dad Owen (Old D)has instilled in me qualities, morales and strength that has carried me through life, and still carries me. No mountain is too high and no valley is too deep for me to travel, because of what I have gained from you both. You taught me with God all things are possible, and I have proven that over and over again. Parents like you are one in a million.

Mom, I love you, cherish you, adore you and thank God for you. Mom, there is none like you. On behalf of my three sons, Kemar, B'John and Blaine(little old D) I just want to say, stay sweet, live long, enjoy life and come back to Florida soon. Your room is waiting for you. Last, but not least, give our love along with hugs and kisses to Granny Mother Mac. Merry Chritmas & Happy New Year.

Thanks Amelia for a job well done. Hope to meet you in July 2005.
Your daughter Paulette

Hi Miss Bea,What a wonderful pleasure to see your smiling face on the net. Still looking the same sweet person, staying young as ever. I was just in Jamaica to take Mommy and Daddy back home, and if I had known you were home I would have sure to stop by. I remember getting the plums and of course those vine grapes from you..your home was like a second home. I am always asking for all the kids (grown people-smile) especially Bev, Tony,Paulette,Donna and Mommy's second baby, Arlene, and of course Gee and Roy. I would so love to see all of you. We all grew up together so we have some good childhood memories. Miss Bea stay sweet and young and may God's blessings continue to be upon you as always.Until such time keep that smile going.

Ma B, I am truly sorry about the death of your mother Veneta Moxam (Madda Mack). I do know that when we experience the sting of death, it is never easy, especially the death of a parent.

The Bible makes it clear that God did not originally intend for humans to die. He created the first human pair Adam and Eve, placed them in an earthly paradise called Eden, and instructed them to have children and extend their paradise home earth wide. But they disobeyed and eventually died, thus spreading death to all of us, their descendants. We die because of inherited sin and imperfection (Romans 5:12).

But Almighty God has the power and desire to resurrect our dead loved ones--persons whom he chooses. Jesus himself says that the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out (John 5: 28, 29; Acts 24:15)

Keep heart during this difficult time.

Hey Ma B.
So sorry you are not feeling well. Wish you a speedy recovery. Here's a poem for you:

TO BELIEVE...”

To believe is to know that every day
is a new beginning.
It is to trust that miracles happen,
and dreams really do come true.
To believe is to see angels dancing among the clouds,
To know the wonder of a stardust sky
and the wisdom of the man in the moon.
To believe is to know the value of a nurturing heart,
The innocence of a child's eyes
and the beauty of an aging hand,
for it is through their teachings we learn to love.
To believe is to find the strength
and courage that lies within us.
When it is time to pick up the pieces and begin again.
To believe is to know we are not alone,
That life is a gift and this is our time to cherish it.
To believe is to know that wonderful surprises
are just waiting to happen,
And all our hopes and dreams are within reach.
If only we believe.
