This month's Profile we view Sharon Williams.

My aunt, Sharon Williams, was born in the month of April. Her favourite fruits are mangoes, ripe bananas, pineapples and noseberry. Her favourite foods are callaloo and saltfish, fish and mostly vegetables. Her favourite colours are light pink, sky blue, violet and beige. Aunt Sharon is a Christian and she is a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Treasure Beach. She is a soloist and a post mistress at the Calabash Bay Postal Annex.

She says she would like to see the development of a community center and also for the youths of Treasure Beach to get more jobs through the development of new businesses in the area. She appreciates her community and thinks it's being developed, especially having tourists coming here. The fishing village, the schools, the churches the guest houses, hotels and business places all help to make the community a better one.

Her hope for the youths of Treasure Beach is to see them become more stable and fulfill expectations that will help them to succeed in life.

Hi Sher, it's so good to see your smiling face again. Is there any mail for me? I know you had heard that from me many times (smile). Continue to be the person you have always been. I can still hear you singing this song, His eyes are on the sparrow, and I know He watches me. Keep up your good work.

Hi Sharon, this poem is for you. Continue to live for the Lord.

My life will touch a dozen lives
Before this day is done,
Leave countless marks for good or ill
Before the setting sun.

Have a good day. See you soon

You look great Miss Sharon! I've never once come to collect my mail and found you with a frown on your face. Every time I am greeted with a smile and good wishes. Your charm and positive attitude is a prime example of what makes this community so strong.

I just wish you would stop giving me all those love letters from CWJ, JPS, and NWC ;-)

Oh Miss Sharon!

You look so beautiful...it's always so nice to see your smiling face.

I have such fond memories of you and of our time together in Treasure Beach. I remember walking to the post office every day just to see if I had mail (of which I hardly ever did). My favorite was when Miss Kelly and I would walk to the post office together, and I'd ask, "Miss Sharon, anything for me today." And you'd respond, "No, but looks like Miss Kelly has friends."

But you always greeted me with a beaming smile.

I also remember the fun we had painting the post office so many years ago.

And I loved the fact that I could send one big parcel of photos back to Treasure Beach along with a small note, requesting Miss Sharon to distribute the images to the right people in the community.

Thank you for all the love and support over the years. You are very much appreciated and play an integral role in the TB community.

Sending you much love,
Miss Amy

I too concur that Sharon is very helpful and pleasant and I always get exemplary service from her as a Post Mistress at Calabash Bay Postal Agency. I remember just parking and even before I came out at times Miss Sher would say
"Sorry!! Nothing for you today!". I never used to mind this as it was mostly bills that we would receive.
My happiest time is when I am looking for a special mail and Sharon would say
"It came today!" as I would tell her I was looking out for it.
Keep on radiating that bright smile and being a good worker! God Bless!

That scene where he talks to Jabez before his final waltz is truly haunting, that close-up on his face as he talks about his soul. ,
