The Citizens Alert Group of Treasure Beach -
takes this oppertunity to remind it's members and other interested persons wishing to attend and join the group, that there will be a regular second thursday monthly meeting on Thursday 10th April, 2008 at 6:00pm. At the Sandy Bank Bank Primary School.
Issues to be dealt with includes:-
- Postive Progress Report on the resumption of
work on the canal system.
- Progress Report on the completion and
placement of several wire baskets/garbage
receptacles (on continuing plans for solid
waste management)
- Possible amendment to our constitution in
order to accommodate new ranks on our
executive body
- Progress report on drafted plans to honour
senior citizens who have served our community
exceptionally well
- Opportunity for interested non members to
join. Qualification? Any decent law abiding
citizen or stakeholder in the community of
Treasure Beach

Whenever the matter of the canal comes up, I wonder, again, why a simple concrete culvert wasn't set in place, rather than that massive muddy hideous ditch. Anyone have any thoughts on this? We're not exactly talking about diverting the Black River.
We are not diverting Black River but the water was almost up to the roof of my house. We had to use a boat to go about whenever we could.
