Heard that wire has been distributed to fishermen for hurricane relief. What needs to be done to take advantage of this? I know many men who lost their pots and would like some help.
This is great information. Anyone with an answer please pass along. I also know some very needy fishermen.
The wire was paid for by donations collected in the aftermath of Hurricanes Ivan (2004) and Dean (2006). It was given out as the funds were collected. All the wire was distributed.
You can see more on relief efforts for Dean and Ivan.
A special thanks for all who donated their time and money to help during those difficult times.

This may be something different from what was distributed due to donations. This may be coming from the government. I truly don't know. Does anyone have any further information on this?
Rebecca, from what I heard this is coming from the government and distribution may have already started but nobody seems to have any information. I remember wire being distributed from the primary school a few years ago so I assume it would be the same procedure. Someone with info please reply.
